Privacy Policy
1. Who is responsible for your data
Pedro José Reyes Rodríguez (NIF 45346773L), C/ Calixto III, 36, 12, 46008 Valencia, Spain (“Hisi”, “we”). For anything about your data, write to support@hisi.io.
2. What data we collect and why
When you request access to the beta
Your name, your email, the builder you use and, if you add them, your website and what you would build first. We use them to review your request, give you access and write to you about the beta. Legal basis: steps you ask us to take before joining the beta (art. 6.1.b GDPR).
When you ask to receive Hisi news
Your name and email, to send you news about Hisi and its launch. Legal basis: your consent (art. 6.1.a GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time.
When you create a Hisi account
Your email, username, display name and password (stored only as an encrypted hash) and, if you add them, a photo, a short bio and links. We use them to give you your account and the service you sign up for, and to send you the emails the account needs: confirming your email, resetting your password and security notices. We also keep which version of the Beta Terms you accepted and when. Legal basis: the contract you accept when you sign up (art. 6.1.b GDPR).
When you use your account
Your active sessions (IP address and browser) and short-lived counters of failed attempts, to keep your account secure and stop abuse. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in security (art. 6.1.f GDPR).
When you connect a WordPress site to your account
The site’s address and name, and its Hisi and WordPress versions, to connect that site and offer it updates. Legal basis: the contract (art. 6.1.b GDPR).
When you visit hisi.io
Anonymous visit statistics, without cookies, to know how many people visit and from where, in aggregate. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in understanding how the site is used (art. 6.1.f GDPR).
We do not sell your data, we do not use it to build advertising profiles and we make no automated decisions about you. Everything we ask for is needed for the purpose described, except the fields marked as optional.
3. How long we keep it
- Beta requests: until six months after the beta ends, and never more than two years from the day you sent yours.
- News: until you unsubscribe or withdraw your consent.
- Account: while your account exists. When you delete it, your profile, photo and sessions are deleted, your connected sites are disconnected, and the record of the emails we sent you is deleted within 30 days.
- Security counters: 24 hours.
After those periods we delete the data, unless the law requires us to keep it for longer.
4. Who processes it for us
We use these providers, who process the data only on our instructions:
- Hostinger (Hostinger International Ltd., Cyprus): hosting of hisi.io and its content delivery network, in the European Union.
- Resend (Resend, Inc., USA): sending the emails of Hisi accounts.
- Google (Google Ireland Ltd. and Google LLC): the email inbox where we receive beta requests, and the fonts of this site, which your browser downloads from Google’s servers (this sends your IP address to Google).
- Umami (Umami Software, Inc., USA): cookieless visit statistics.
Some of these providers are in the United States. Those transfers are covered by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework where the provider is certified, or by the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.
5. Cookies
hisi.io sets one cookie, pll_language, which remembers the language of the site you are reading (English or Spanish) for one year. It is needed for the site to work as you asked and does not track you. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies.
6. Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct or delete your data, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive it in a portable format. You can withdraw your consent to receive news at any time, from the link in each email or by writing to support@hisi.io, without affecting what we did before. Write to support@hisi.io from the email address you used; we answer within one month. If you think we have not handled your data properly, you can complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (www.aepd.es).
7. Age
The beta and Hisi accounts are for people aged 18 or over.
8. Changes
If we change this policy we will publish the new version here with its date, and if the change is important we will tell you by email.
